Tyson Beckford on Matt Damon -- ‘You Can’t Denounce the Gun’ If You Make Millions Using Guns

Ralph Lauren model Tyson Beckford recently spoke to Matt Damon’s anti-gun rhetoric by observing that it looks hypocritical to “denounce the gun” while you make millions holding a gun in your hand.

Beckford made the comments to a TMZ reporter who caught up with him as he exited the Katana restaurant in West Hollywood.

The TMZ reporter asked Beckford what he thought about the “$25 million” Damon made for his latest film, Jason Bourne. Beckford responded, “Hey, if you can get it, get it.” Then he paused and added, “But I thought he was anti-gun?”

The TMZ reporter pointed out that “there was a stink about [Damon] holding a gun on the Jason Bourne advertisement.” Beckford responded, “Yes, because he claims he’s not 2A friendly. You can’t sit there and denounce the gun when the gun is making you money… Me personally, I don’t play that. I’m 2A all day, but I guess it’s Hollywood.”

Nice to hear about someone, anyone finally calling out Matt Damon for the hypocrite that he is.

The story will feature lots of clever social media content, a shoot out at the supremacists' meth lab, car chases, shrewd product placement of Apple technologies and will culminate with a Twitter mention from the Obama Administration's Department of Justice. In a deeply touching scene, one of the supremacists' kids, orphaned in the shoot out, will be adopted by D'Vonte and his boyfriend as a part of their wedding ceremony.

It will crash and burn at the box office, but will win several Academy Awards. Robert Redford will call it the one of the finest movies he's ever seen and MSNBC hosts will be falling all over themselves to praise how daring and innovative it is.

Harvey Weinstein wants more tax breaks

Taxes, as Leona Helmsley once put it, “are for the little people.” That certainly seems to be the operating philosophy of Hollywood mogul and Democrat moneybags Harvey Weinstein. Speaking at California taxpayer-subsidized UCLA, he asked for California taxpayers to subsidize his business. Ted Johnson of Variety reports:

“There’s no reason for us not to shoot here, except when you do the numbers here and when you do the numbers in New Orleans, it is much more attractive financially,” Weinstein said in the Q&A on Saturday.

He cited the example of “Southpaw,” directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, as project that could have shot in Los Angeles were it not for the generous tax incentives in the Big Easy.

But Weinstein said that Los Angeles and California “doesn’t even have to give the same discount” to remain competitive, noting the cost and hassle of having to locate actors and other talent in New Orleans is an added expense despite their generous tax incentives.

But what about the children, Harvey? They need your tax money. And there are still millions more in Mexico and Cental America who need to come to California for free medical care and schooling, and EBT cards and all the rest.

Well, if he had any shame, he wouldn’t be a liberal or a big Hillary Clinton supporter.

It's pretty obvious that Harvey doesn't view himself as one of the little people and the children only need money from the little people.

The War on Women -- By MSNBC hosts

The Dear Leader, members of his Regime, Drive-By-Media. and the Democratic Party have been trying to sell the idea that there is a Republican "War on Women" So how would they respond id they were asked, "How about MS-NBC hosts 'War on Women'?"

Example 1) - Ed "Sargent" Schutlz, when on a diatribe about Republicans, Schultz called Laura Ingraham a "Right Wing Slut"

Example 2) - Alec Bladwin, his meltdowns are stuff of Hollywood legend. Several years ago, he attacked his own daughter calling her a "a rude, thoughtless little pig. You don't have the brains or the decency as a human being." He has attacked numerous female reporters over the years.

Example 3)- Martin Bashir, who has tried to market himself as an intellectual, based on hm having a British accent, called for someone to defecate and urinate in Sarah Palin's mouth. He of course used substantially more crude language.

Common trait of these men? All unrepentant liberals, all MS-NBC Talk show hosts.

Compare the Media's react to these egregious diatribes to how the same Media reacted, when Rush Limbaugh called out Sandra Fluke as a "slut."

GOP Should Drop Norquist and Follow Maher

Egberto Willies, commenter in the Daily Kos piece where Maher is quoted, wrote, "Republicans have always loved cutting taxes on both the backs of the working middle class and at the expense of exploding budget deficits to appease their plutocratic masters."

The Republicans should link Maher's equation - "cut spending AND raise taxes" - with Willies' observation that Republicans love to pile the tax burden on the "working middle class" and take the initiative.

Here are three suggested changes in the federal tax code that, if pushed by the GOP, would demonstrate an enhanced sensitivity to assuring fairer federal taxation. None involve new taxes - just the elimination of tax deduction loopholes that favor the rich.

1. Remove state income taxes as a deductable item from the federal tax code for those making over $500,000.

2. Remove city income taxes as a deductable expense from the federal tax code for those making over $200,000.

..............

3. Remove real estate taxes as a deductible item for all those paying over $15,000 in property taxes.

None of these suggestions for federal revenue enhancement represent new taxes. They merely eliminate tax loopholes that favor the rich and lighten the heavy weight of taxation now resting on the shoulders of the "working middle class."

As a final suggestion to fulfill the "raise taxes" half of Maher's equation of "cutting spending AND raising taxes," Republicans should note the top 20 donor groups, by organizational affiliation, to Barack Obama's 2012 campaign.

Also, contributions from employees at universities that receive millions in federal research grants should be strictly limited.

I love this idea!!!! It can be sold as taxing the rich, who happen to be in blue states. This might actually force the blue states to be responsible with their tax plans, since the Feds will not longer be subsidizing them.

Like Alinsky said, make the live by their own rules.

California’s New Feudalism Benefits a Few at the Expense of the Multitude

Joel Kotkin (presidential fellow in urban futures at Chapman University and a contributing editor to the City Journal) wrote an article in the DailyBeast.com explaining how the California Economy is become more feudal-like. It's quite scary what his predictions of the future of life in the California for the "middle class".

As late as the 80s, California was democratic in a fundamental sense, a place for outsiders and, increasingly, immigrants—roughly 60 percent of the population was considered middle class. Now, instead of a land of opportunity, California has become increasingly feudal. According to recent census estimates, the state suffers some of the highest levels of inequality in the country. By some estimates, the state’s level of inequality compares with that of such global models as the Dominican Republic, Gambia, and the Republic of the Congo.

At the same time, the Golden State now suffers the highest level of poverty in the country—23.5 percent compared to 16 percent nationally—worse than long-term hard luck cases like Mississippi. It is also now home to roughly one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients, almost three times its proportion of the nation’s population.

Like medieval serfs, increasing numbers of Californians are downwardly mobile, and doing worse than their parents: native born Latinos actually have shorter lifespans than their parents, according to one recent report. Nor are things expected to get better any time soon. According to a recent Hoover Institution survey, most Californians expect their incomes to stagnate in the coming six months, a sense widely shared among the young, whites, Latinos, females, and the less educated.

California has plenty of wealth within its borders, but only if you happen to have a job in Hollywood or Silicon Valley.

The state’s digital oligarchy, surely without intention, is increasingly driving the state’s lurch towards feudalism. Silicon Valley’s wealth reflects the fortunes of a handful of companies that dominate an information economy that itself is increasingly oligopolistic. In contrast to the traditionally conservative or libertarian ethos of the entrepreneurial class, the oligarchy is increasingly allied with the nominally populist Democratic Party and its regulatory agenda. Along with the public sector, Hollywood, and their media claque, they present California as “the spiritual inspiration” for modern “progressives” across the country.

Through their embrace of and financial support for the state’s regulatory regime, the oligarchs have made job creation in non tech-businesses—manufacturing, energy, agriculture—increasingly difficult through “green energy” initiatives that are also sure to boost already high utility costs. One critic, state Democratic Senator Roderick Wright from heavily minority Inglewood, compares the state’s regulatory regime to the “vig” or high interest charged by the Mafia, calling it a major reason for disinvestment in many industries.

Kotkin defines of California’s new socioeconomic classes: The Oligarchs, the Clerisy, the New Serfs, and the Yeomanry, and with California’s current Democratic supermajority ruling the roost, prospects to improve any time soon.

Tina Brown’s charity gave out just $10K

The celebrity-backed charity launched by departing Daily Beast editrix Tina Brown failed to meet the company’s goals in its first year out of the gate — handing out just $10,000 in grant money in 2011 despite raising nearly $1.2 million, IRS records show.

The nonprofit Women in the World Foundation kicked off to much fanfare in 2011 with a star-studded Manhattan party that cost $168,048 and was hosted by Meryl Streep.

I think this is where a lot of the Liberal Elites' "charity" money winds up going: Networking and self-dealing in the form of lavish parties.

Kiss Bassist Gene Simmons -- Pundits Pick on Tim Tebow Because He Is Christian

All those pundits in the peanut gallery who pick on [Tim Tebow] because he is an avowed Christian, and proud of it, demonstrate the [most] heinous thing in sports reporting. Because [Tebow] is a man who believes in his God, and people pick on him. If he was a Jew or a Muslim and [was this faithful], people would never care. But for some reason, because he's a Christian, you're allowed to pick on him.

He's right on target.

Obama the waffler fool

I have been trying to figure out what President Obama's long term plans/goals/principals are regarding the Syrian Civil Wars and the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

He didn't have an issue with the 100 thousand of so people who have died during the last 24 months during the civil war, but since approximately 1500 died of nerve gas, he has to act now?  He announced that there was a red line that could not be crossed regarding the use of nerve gas in the Syrian Civil War. But he now claims, he did draw aline in the sand, but the rest of the world did. 

As candidate Obama, he clearly stated that the President can't attack without congressional approval unless there is an immediate threat to the country, yet he bombed Libya.

At first he says he doesn't have to get congressional approval to strike, but now he wants Congress to vote on the issue? 

As a Senator and Candidate, Obama demanded that the UN must approve and attacks, until he realized that both China and Russia would veto the resolution.  So now he claims he doesn't need a coalition, but bashed Bush for not having a coalition.  Lest he forgets, Bush got UN approval and a coalition to attack Iraq and Afghanistan.

Now Vlad Putin saves Obama's bacon by offering to control the Syrian Chemical Weapons store.  So now Obama is OK with that.

You add to this fiasco, the Secretary of State John "who served in Vietnam" Kerry, who voted against the war before he voted for the war.

You can't find a more incompetent Administration in the History of the Country.

All this coming from the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Dear Leader Obama.  Will Vlad be the next Peace Prize winner?

Hollywood Hypocrite Alert -- Public School Advocate Matt Damon Enrolls Kids in Private School

Actor Matt Damon is a strong supporter of America's public schools. Just two years ago, the star spoke passionately about the importance of public schools at a Washington DC "Save our Schools" rally. In fact, the actor is so impressed with public school teachers that he has demanded they receive a pay raise. That passion and conviction, however, does not apply to Damon's own children, who will not be enrolled into the Los Angeles public school system.

You see public school is good enough for YOUR kids, not HIS kids, just like the politicians in Washington DC.  They all attend private schools in the District.
