Fist-pumping cadets embarrass West Point

Sixteen African-American senior cadets at West Point thought it a good idea to pump their fists in the air in a recent photo. In what many consider a violation of their oath of “Duty, Honor, Country,” they instead appear to align themselves with #BlackLivesMatter

It is clear that these woman lack leadership skills. The best solution is to award them the degree in engineering that they have earned and dismiss them from the military. It is questionable if they are fit to lead, despite the fact that taxpayers just spent $250,000 educating each of them.

What would have happened if the situation were reversed and sixteen “good old white Southern boys” were photographed holding the Confederate flag? They would have been expelled immediately and would be long gone.

Women in the military want fair treatment; well, give it to them.

These women will have careers in the Army because without them, the quotacrats would make life miserable for the top brass. Under President Obama, the United States military is driven by quotas and social engineering imperatives, not the defense of the nation. Sad, but that's the way it is. For now.

But no one in the Brass has the brass stone required to do the right thing.

The Cost of a Liberal War on Police

Of course, liberals dismiss the notion that there is a war on police that is hurting the poor. But you don’t have to believe me or any other conservative who has repeatedly pointed this out since the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore last year. Last Friday, the man appointed by Barack Obama to be the head of the FBI made these same points. Here’s what FBI Director James Comey said in a speech at the University of Chicago excerpted by the Wall Street Journal:

I have spoken of 2014 in this speech because something has changed in 2015. Far more people are being killed in America’s cities this year than in many years. And let’s be clear: far more people of color are being killed in America’s cities this year. And it’s not the cops doing the killing.

He went on to diagnose the problem in stark language that cuts through the politically correct mush we have been served by the administration he serves and the mainstream media that serves as cheerleaders for the man who appointed him:

This is something that a lot of people have been saying in the last year as President Obama, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and the entire roster of MSNBC race baiters have done their best to delegitimize police as armed racists. Crime rates have gone up in New York and Baltimore and in other places. But now that Comey has stated the plain truth about why this is happening, it’s no longer possible to pretend that such complaints are merely the ravings of right-wing radio talkers. It’s the truth, and it’s high time somebody acknowledged it.

Even if the GOP retakes the White House in 2016, it will likely be many years before all of the damage inflicted upon the nation by the current administration and its most rabid supporters has been repaired.

The data, facts, speak for themselves. From 1980-2008, blacks committed 52.5% of the homicides and 93% of the homicide victims were blacks killed by other blacks. Black account for 13.2% of the population.

Do the math.

Kiss Bassist Gene Simmons -- Pundits Pick on Tim Tebow Because He Is Christian

Normally I don't take comments from Rock and Roll types very seriously, but Gene Simmons has proven to be quite an enlighten mind.  I may not always agree with his point of view, but he is able to articulate his point a view better than 90% of the pundits who spout their point of view on TV.

All those pundits in the peanut gallery who pick on [Tim Tebow] because he is an avowed Christian, and proud of it, demonstrate the [most] heinous thing in sports reporting. Because [Tebow] is a man who believes in his God, and people pick on him. If he was a Jew or a Muslim and [was this faithful], people would never care. But for some reason, because he's a Christian, you're allowed to pick on him.

He's right on target.

• the images of the capture, killing and burial of Osama bin Laden (that might upset the terrorists);
• disastrous green energy loan guarantees;

• Billions of dollars of spending on Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac (the government takeover of the mortgage market);
• Hillary Clinton’s ethics compliance records (from an administration that has probably perfected the “ethics waiver,” but that’s another story).

Great National Discussion on Race

Ace of Spades HQ has a great post on race relations in the country and why it can't improve.  They is an entire cottage industry that is against it.  The hoax racial crimes at Oberlin College is listed and the Left's hysterical overreaction and navel gazing.  How a TV show is going to miss the Paula Deen incident from 30 years ago with the Trayvon Martin justified homicide.  PMS-NBC constant drum beat about racial issues in the county is missed in as well.

From Obama down to his cheerleaders in the press, liberals have declared unremitting war on their ideological opponents, cynically polarizing the country along racial -- and, when possible, gender -- lines. They, not conservatives, have been the ones dragging race into any and every political dispute they can. This disgusting strategy has worked well for them, galvanizing minority voters and tarring the Republican brand. I don't particularly welcome the fact that conservatives are fighting fire with fire, but you can hardly blame them given how liberals like Reid have been asking for it for so long.
