Dashboard cam catches cops in unbelievable series of lies that led to man’s false arrest

From the Daily Caller:
Police charged a New Jersey man with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer, but recently revealed footage from a dashboard camera told a different story: Not only did the officers start beating the man for no apparent reason, but they actually crashed one of their vehicles into the man’s car. ..............

What happened next was so crazy that Jeter’s lawyer didn’t believe it–until he saw the footage for himself. Another cop car responded to the scene and crashed right into Jeter’s vehicle. This detail was not mentioned at all in the police report, and the officers pretended like it never happened–until the video contradicted them.

Next, the footage clearly shows Jeter raising his hands in the air, initiating no violence against the officers. The cops respond by punching him repeatedly, all while yelling at him, “Stop resisting! Stop resisting!”

Jeter was not resisting in the slightest. And yet he was eventually charged with eluding arrest, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. Prosecutors offered him a plea deal of 5 years in prison, according to Watchdog Wire.

Thankfully, local reporters were able to dig up the video footage–which prosecutors claimed they had never seen. After watching it, they dropped all charges against Jeter.

The officers involved are now facing various charges, including assault, misconduct and tampering with evidence. ..............

Another disturbing detail–an internal affairs investigation conducted by the Bloomfield police department found no wrongdoing on the part of the officers.

In a statement, Jeter told reporters that he would likely be in jail if the video footage was never released.
Another case of the Police covering up THEIR ABUSE OF POWER !!!!

These are the only people who should have guns, according to the gun control supporters.

California Highway Patrol Officer arrests firefighter giving aid to crash victims

From the Daily Caller:
A California firefighter was attempting to give aid to the victims of a car crash when he was handcuffed and detained by a highway patrol officer, according to local news.

Now the agencies involved say it was a misunderstanding that prompted the officer to interrupt firefighter Jacob Gregoire’s efforts to help an injured man.

The crash happened Tuesday night on California’s I-805. Gregoire was assisting an injured man when an officer with the California Highway Patrol instructed him to move his firetruck out of the dividing lane. The two argued over where Gregoire should be parked, and eventually the officer chose to place him in handcuffs.
This shows the police are totally out of control.

Florida Man with Gun at Home Gets Pulled Over, Searched, 'Humiliated' in Maryland

From Breitbart's Big Government:
When Floridian concealed carry permit holder John Filippidis and his family drove through Maryland on their way to New Jersey for Christmas, he was pulled over by the Maryland Transportation Authority Police (MTAP), accused of having a gun, humiliated, and searched along with his car and family. .................

While driving through Maryland, he was pulled over by a MTAP officer who asked for vehicle license and registration, then went back to the patrol car. "Ten minutes later" the officer came back to the driver's window, asked Filippidis to exit the Ford Expedition and took him behind the vehicle to ask where his gun was. .................

Following this, the Tribune says the officer returned to Filippidis, called him "a liar," then spent roughly 90 minutes searching the car for a gun that wasn't there. This meant emptying the car of its contents—"riders, luggage, Christmas gifts, laundry bags," and all.
So how does a Maryland Transportation Cop know that a Florida man has a concealed weapons permit?

Is there a National Concealed Weapons Permit Registry?

Police forced man to have anal surgery during crazy drug search, now settling for $1.6 million

From the Daily Caller:
David Eckert–the man who was stopped by police, suspected of drug possession, driven to a hospital, driven to a second hospital, forced to undergo multiple invasive surgeries, and billed for the abuse after no drugs were found–has obtained a $1.6 million settlement with New Mexico local authorities.

The settlement between Eckert and police in Deming and Hidalgo County, New Mexico brings a measure of closure to the horrifying incident, said Eckert’s lawyer.

........................

The fact that a similar thing already happened to at least two other people is only one bizarre detail in a tale that The Daily Caller ranked the Number 1 most shocking case of police abuse of 2013. (RELATED: TheDC’s Dirty Dozen: 12 SHOCKING police abuse stories of 2013)

Eckert was stopped by police for a routine traffic violation. Reportedly, he “clenched his buttocks” in a manner that made police suspicious he was carrying drugs. The officers obtained a warrant to search him, and drove him to a hospital for an examination. Medical experts at Members Memorial Hospital refused police requests to search Eckert, considering such requests patently unethical.
So where the officers fired? I would make that a requirement of the settlement.

Watched Cops Are Polite Cops

From Reason.com
[M]ost patrol officers are now becoming comfortable with dashboard cameras in their cruisers. A 2004 study for the International Association of Chiefs of Police found that in cases where police misconduct was alleged, in-car video evidence exonerated officers 93 percent of the time.

The same report further noted that dashboard cameras enhanced officer safety, improved agency accountability, reduced liability, simplified incident review, enhanced new recruit training, improved community perceptions, helped advance case resolution, and enhanced officer performance and professionalism. In fact, the Atlanta police officer in the Witherspoon dashcam video comes off as quite professional. He consistently refers to Witherspoon as "ma'am" and keeps a level tone of voice despite some fairly hilarious provocation.

Body-worn cameras will clearly augment all of those objectives. And it will accomplish an important democratic task as well: turning the tables on the functionaries of the surveillance state. It gives citizens better protection against police misconduct and against violations of their constitutional rights. And it protects good cops against unfair accusations, too.
Back in the day, when I was a kid, we were taught to assume that police were the good guys, but with all the police corruption, dues to PC demands and quotas set by Liberals, the quality of the people chosen to wear the uniform has been lowered. Add in the logarithmic increase in the militarization of the police departments of the county. It is a recipe for civil rights violations and the death of innocent civilians.

Cops Give Innocent Man Multiple Rectal Exams, Without Consent, To Find Drugs That Weren't There

From Ace of Spades HQ Blog:
They asked him to step out of the car and then searched his vehicle (without his consent). Another officer brought in a drug dog which reacted (a relatively worthless indication of anything -- drug dogs can easily be "alerted" by their controlling officers) to the driver's seat. (Eckert's lawyer calls into question this dog's training, presenting documents that claim to show it hadn't received the proper field training and recertification. See exhibits listed under docket item 27.) Then the officer "observed" that Eckert was standing "erect with his legs together" and his "buttocks clenched." This was all the justification the Deming police needed to subject Eckert to the following horrific chain of events at a hospital in neighboring Silver City . 1. Eckert's abdominal area was x-rayed; no narcotics were found.

2. Doctors then performed an exam of Eckert's anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.

3. Doctors performed a second exam of Eckert's anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.

4. Doctors penetrated Eckert's anus to insert an enema. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.

5. Doctors penetrated Eckert's anus to insert an enema a second time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.

6. Doctors penetrated Eckert's anus to insert an enema a third time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.

7. Doctors then x-rayed Eckert again; no narcotics were found.

8. Doctors prepared Eckert for surgery, sedated him, and then performed a colonoscopy where a scope with a camera was inserted into Eckert's anus, rectum, colon, and large intestines. No narcotics were found.

At no time did Eckert give his consent to these searches.
There is and will be more to this. I find it hard to believe the Cops would violate a person's civil rights this blatantly without shooting them to death.

Was the Capitol Police SWAT Team ordered to "Stand Down" at the Navy Yard?

The BBC is reporting that the Capitol Police's SWAT team was ordered to stand down almost immediately after reports of a shooter at the Navy Yard.

It could be just confusion over the time line and the shooter may have been dead when the team was ordered to stand down.

But one has to wonder, was the order made so the Washington DC Metro Police could get credit for the arrest/kill?

Armed government agents raid animal shelter to euthanize baby deer

From HotAir.com
In Wisconsin, yet another example of the government’s overzealous attempts to punish citizens for good-faith interactions with wildlife, even if they’re saving said wildlife. This time, an armed raid to capture and euthanize a fawn at an animal shelter, which was on its way to a wildlife preserve.
So heavily armed SWAT like team storm an animal shelter to euthanize a baby deer.
I wonder if they'll use that much firepower to, say get the State Department's Benghazi records?

Zimmerman trial - Radio Talk show host, a hypocite.

I was listening to the radio on the drive home, when I heard a local radio talk show host giving his synopsis of the Zimmerman "Murder" trial.  I was shocked to hear his opinion.  This particular host has grown more shill and elitist over the last few years.

So background info.  He's part of a 2-man show that do the afternoon drive slot, are from the East Coast.  They moved to Kalifornia about 20 years ago.  The show WAS similar to a Cross-Fire type format.  One host was reliably Republican and the other was a Democrat.  No big deal.  Well, they either got fired, released, or their contract was not renewed.  So they moved their show to a rival station and were given morning drive slot.  Their show started evolving and instead of being Red vs. Blue, they moved to more of a middle of the road point of view and started going after State and Local government corruption.  Again, no problem.

After a while at the rival station, the went back to the original station that hired them and they returned to the afternoon drive slot.  But both of them started a major metamorphosis.  The formerly Republican leaning host views evolved to the classic angry white guy (AWG) point of view.  The former liberal became more conservative (must have been mugged, especially by the taxes) and became less tolerant of the Kalifornia Progressive Legislature world view.

Again not a problem.

They railed against government waste and spending, crime, high taxes, traffic, red light camera, and illegal immigration, views held by working middle class of Kalifornia (BTW, The ones who are moving out of the State).  Common sense point of view.

Still not a problem.

The AWG let some thing slip out that tend to make me believe it's all an act.  He states he hates the traffic, but drives in the carpool lane as a solo driver AND he doesn't care if he gets a ticket, he can afford to pay the fine.  WTF?  That's like $500.

Then there was the Christopher Dorner manhunt. Remember the two women who were mistakenly shot by the LAPD. 102 shots were taken at their pick-up truck. For those who forgot, see the picture below:

So why do I bring up this shooting relating to the Zimmerman case.  The AWG was ranting about Zimmernman being a wanna-be cop, some fat slob, who had to shoot Trayvon because he was getting is ass kicked, and that well trained cops would know how to handle themselves better and would not have to shot the kid.

Oh, really!!!!!

Again look at the picture above.  The police were supposed to be on the lookout for a Silver, Nissan Tundra, driven by a a 6'-2", 220lb black male.  The truck above is a blue, Toyota Tacoma, drive my 2 short and tiny Hispanic women.

Well trained my ass.

RCMP changes story over removal of guns

So there was some serious flooding in Southern Alberta and the Mounties came in to to some search as rescue.  No big deal, part of the Mounties mandate as first responders.

HOWEVER, at first, the Mounties called the removal of firearms from the homes of flooded residents as a "seizure."

Ooops.

Now the Mounties are "taking possession" of guns that were "in plain view" as opposed to "not safely stored."  Sound suspicious.

Unfortunately, the resident have NOT been allowed back into their homes yet, so we don't know the truth yet.

BTW, Canada has a national gun registry, do you think they were checking everyone's inventory?

And if it sound familiar, remember the New Orleans police "seized" legally owned firearms from the citizenry during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Those owners had to sue the Department to get their own weapons back.

Food for thought, Obama and the Dim's want a national gun registry.

NRA T-SHIRT CASE UPDATE: Prosecution attempts to silence Jared Marcum with gag order; reporter covering story threatened with arrest.

From WOWTV.com:
“Prosecutors were hoping to bar Jared, his father and his lawyer from sharing their story with the press, under the guise that their request would serve Jared’s better interest, something Jared’s father Allen Lardieri sees as ironic.”

Jared, who is now facing the possibility of up to a year in jail, or juvenile confinement and up to a $500 fine for an obstruction charge that police say hinges on the fact that he refused to stop talking when they arrived at Logan Middle School to arrest him on April 18, is expected to be back in court on July 11.

Jared's attorney Ben White says he will continue working to have the charges against Jared thrown out.

The prosecutors and arresting officer refused to answer any of WOWK's questions.
Gee, I wonder why the Prosecution wants a gag order?????

Holder becomes a family liability

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal:
“It is a frightening thing to realize that your top law enforcement officer, the Attorney General of the United States, is a little bit of a Fredo. But that’s what we’re faced with as America discovers that Eric Holder either flat-out lied to Congress, or he’s too damn stupid to be the AG.”

Boston Marathon Bomber caught.

So the Boston PD managed to capture alive the 19-year-old suspected Boston Marathon bomber in Watertown, MA.

Ironcally, it was after the police lifted the citywide lockdown, that kept resident indoors for the past few days.

They one guy was smoking a cigarette in his backyard and noticed something amiss with his boat.  He looks inside and found the bombing suspect and calls the police.  It took the police a hour to negotiate his surrender. This was about 24 hour after a running gun battle with police that claimed the life of his older brother.

So I have a question for all those people in Mass, where they have some of the toughest gun control laws in the country.  How many wish they has an "assault weapon" in their possession, in case this guy showed up on their front door?

Another spot on political cartoon by Michael Ramirez.
