MSNBC host melts down over Hillary’s emails

From Thomas Lifson at The American Thinker Blog:
Even by the standards of MSNBC, Sunday morning’s shout-down of a guest for daring to mention the blackmail potential in the 33,000 deleted emails was unusually embarrassing. As Nicholas Fondacaro of Newsbusters reported:
AM Joy Sunday as host Joy Reid shouted down Amy Kremer, former Chair of Tea Party Express, for daring to mention there are roughly 30,000 missing e-mails from Hillary Clinton’s personal server. “You just invented it an entire thing,” Reid shouted, “There’s no 33,000 e-mails that are going to harm our national security.” From there Reid refused to let Kremer speak anymore. And when Kremer asked to finish her point, “Not if you’re going to invent things,” Reid reprimanded her.
Reid is an embarrassing ignoramus. She was unable to distinguish between the DNC hack of about 20,000 emails and the 33,000 emails that Hiullary deleted from her home-brew server.
Well Reid does work for MS-NBC.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Condemns Democrat Mob Violence: Participants Should be ‘Identified and Prosecuted’

From Breitbart's Big Journalism:
MSNBC host Chris Hayes condemn the Democrat mob violently attacking supporters of Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump at a rally in San Jose Thursday night. Hayes called for the Democrat assailants to be “identified and prosecuted.”
I guess even a liberal makes sense every once in a while.

NBC Fires Melissa Harris-Perry

From Breitbart's Big Journalism:
According to NPR, NBC has fired Melissa Harris-Perry, who hosted a weekend show on MSNBC.

Over the weekend, Harris-Perry refused to host her show, protesting what she believed was MSNBC’s consistent preemption of her show in order to cover the presidential primaries. NPR’s David Folkenflik reported Harris-Perry told friends she’d been asked to redesign her show to make it newsier.
................................

Harris-Perry’s inflammatory rhetoric and downright craziness have been noted for years. Some of her more memorable moments included:
  1. Asserting in an MSNBC promo for the state ownership of children;
  2. Saying police were equivalent to ISIS; Insisting “arson and looting” were not violent acts;
  3. Insinuating Star Wars was racist;
  4. Calling an incident where a Muslim in Oklahoma beheaded his boss “workplace violence”;
  5. The greatest moment of all: wearing tampons as earrings to show her support of Abortion Barbie Wendy Davis.
And remember, she is a Law School Professor.

It’s Official - Brian Williams To MSNBC, Loses Anchor Chair to Lester Holt

From Breitbart's Big Journalism:
NBC News made it official Thursday with the announcement from NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack that Lester Holt has been named the permanent anchor of the NBC Nightly News. That means Brian Williams has permanently lost his anchor chair.

The announcement also confirmed that after his six-month suspension ends in August, Williams will move to MSNBC. The disgraced anchor will lead breaking news coverage on the left-wing cable news channel.
There has been some speculation the reason why Williams was not fired outright was the problem over the last few "separations" of anchor people from NBC. Anne Curry, David Gregory, Savannah Guthrie.

Update: Ann Coulter has the best tweet about the Brian Williams transfer to PMS-NBC:

Ronan Farrow receives Cronkite Award for Journalism — after just 72 hours at MSNBC

From the Daily Caller:
Ronan Farrow is already a graduate of Yale Law School, a Rhodes Scholar, a veteran of the State Department and (maybe) Frank Sinatra’s son. But those accolades pale in comparison to the Cronkite Award for Excellence in Exploration and Journalism, due to be presented Wednesday night to the 26-year-old wunderkind despite his 72-hour stint as a host on MSNBC.
Huh?

Are these the same people who gave the Dear Leader the Nobel Peace Prize?

I wonder what PMS-NBC star Rachel Mad-Cow thinks of Farrow getting this award?

MSNBC President Phil Griffin Claims Station Has No Ideology

From Breitbart's Big Journalism:
In a recent interview, 57-year-old Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC, said that the network “has never had an ideology.”

The former NBC researcher, who prefers jogging suits to business suits and is beset with constant nervous twitching, insisted that the network stays “true to the facts.” Griffin maintained that if a Democrat has problems, MSNBC anchors are not going to bail them out. He claimed, “If you’re a Democrat in trouble, we’re not a place where we’re going to rehabilitate you. You’re not going to get a free ride if you did wrong.” ..................

Some viewers may raise eyebrows as to Griffin’s assertion that he doesn’t run a biased network. In 2013, MSNBC hired former Obama presidential adviser David Axelrod and former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to provide political commentary across the network’s programming. Media critic Howard Kurtz admitted that he is very troubled by having two Obama loyalists as network advocates.
I'm sure in his mind there is no bias, just as the Editors of the New York Times and Washington Post also believe they are not biased. It's like the old saying, " A fish doesn't know it's in water". These people are in such a cacoon, they don't even realize how isolated they are.

NBC News fires yet another employee with no name

From the Daily Caller:
I’m not one to call for the firing of a media employee who screws up, especially when he or she is just reflecting the prevailing tone of that corporate culture. It’s like punishing somebody for being drawn into a cult. But if you tell me you’ve fired somebody, I want a name.

Earlier this week, whoever drew the short straw, and was consigned to run the @MSNBC Twitter feed that day, posted the following (screencap courtesy of Twitchy):

Are you a right-winger? Below is the commercial you’re supposed to hate:

As Caroline May of the Daily Caller reports:
In the wake of the Republican National Committee’s call for an effective boycott of MSNBC over an offensive tweet, network president Phil Griffin issued an apology Thursday.

“The tweet last night was outrageous and unacceptable,” Griffin wrote in a statement read on air by The Cycle host Ari Melber, according to Mediate. “We immediately acknowledged it was offensive and wrong, apologized and deleted it.”

“We have dismissed the person responsible for the tweet,” he continued. “I personally apologize to Mr. Priebus and to everyone offended. At MSNBC, we believe in passionate, strong debate about the issues, and we invite voices from all sides to participate. That will never change. Signed, Phil Griffin.”
Remember this is the same network of Melissa Harris Perry and Martin Bashir.

So why does Comcast tolerate this dismally low rated network. Top management heads need to roll.

Don't Know the Party of a Politician Caught in a Scandal? He's Probably a Democrat

From Newsbusters:
Within the span of 40 seconds, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams reported on two politicians caught in scandals, one a Republican the other a Democrat, but he gave the party affiliation of only one of the troubled politicians. Can you guess which one?

On the January 27 Nightly News, Williams reported that “Florida Republican Congressman Trey Radel has resigned effective tonight. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor cocaine possession.” In the very next news brief Williams announced: “A name from New Orleans’s recent past went on trial there today. Ray Nagin, mayor of the city during Katrina, in court on bribery charges.” Williams never noted Nagin was a Democrat.

Williams’ refusal to give the party identification of Nagin continues a curious trend by the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) network anchors and reporters to rarely identify corrupt politicians with the “D” label. That same courtesy is hardly ever extended to Republicans, as seen in the following political corruption stories that have broken over the past year.
Just verifies what we have always known about media bias.

MSNBC president apologizes to RNC, fires employee responsible for tweet

From the Daily Caller:

I like that the head of the RNC called for a boycott of PMS-NBC by all Republicans, but he should have called for a boycott of all NBC channels unless the apology was on air and Griffin forced to answer questions for someone like Ann Coulter.

RNC — That’s it, we’re boycotting MSNBC until its president apologizes

From Hot Air:
Ed wrote about this Twitter storm earlier, but in case you’d missed it, here’s what the official feed of MSNBC — an ostensible “news” network — discharged last night:

Distilled, repellent race-baiting. The tweet was quickly taken down with an apology issued, but the Republican National Committee isn’t in a forgiving mood. Reince Priebus blasted out the following memo to all RNC staff, surrogates and strategists, urging Republicans of all stripes to refuse to appear on the network until its president personally apologizes for this most recent episode in an interminable string of nasty racial attacks against conservatives:
Unfortunately, this tweet is just the latest in a pattern of poor statements by MSNBC and its hosts. This morning I left a message with MSNBC President Phil Griffin to express my displeasure. I have sent him a letter demanding that he personally, as president of the network, take responsibility and apologize for the disgusting tweet. Until he takes internal corrective action and personally apologizes—not just to the RNC but to all right-of-center Americans—I’m banning all RNC staff from appearing on, associating with, or booking any RNC surrogates on MSNBC. As an elected official, strategist, or surrogate, I’m asking for you to agree to the same. We can have our political disagreements with MSNBC, but using biracial families to launch petty and ridiculous political attacks is low, even by MSNBC’s standards. It only coarsens our political discourse. MSNBC hosts—including Alec Baldwin, Martin Bashir, Melissa Harris-Perry, Alex Wagner, and Ronan Farrow just to name a few—have had a troubling streak in the last several weeks of making comments that belittle and demean Americans without furthering any thoughtful dialogue. Perhaps it’s time for the executives at MSNBC to consider whether their network is upholding a meaningful journalistic mission. This is more than just a tweet or an offhand comment. This is part of a pattern of behavior that has gotten markedly worse, and until Phil Griffin personally apologizes and takes corrective action, we cannot be part of this network’s toxic programming.
Questions: Why does MSNBC employ so many flaming jackholes as on air talent? And why do these people seem to believe they have free reign to spout any thought that may pop into their head, no matter how vile or mean-spirited? Who is responsible for the network’s…climate of hate, to borrow a term? I’ll leave you with a flashback to why Priebus must be relishing this opportunity to twist the knife. He has a bit of a history with MSNBC, you see, typified by a wild-eyed Chris Matthews calling him “garbage” (for alleged race-baiting, ironically) at the 2012 Republican National Convention. Priebus fired back, labeling Matthews “the biggest jerk in the room:”
This cable channel needs a management enema.

Network that mocked biracial family accuses conservatives of freak-out over Cheerios ad, or something

From Hot Air
If it wasn’t for the oh-so-recent context that renders this acidly ironic, MSNBC’s latest foray into idiocy would hardly be worth mentioning. Coming just a few weeks after its own hosts mocked Mitt Romney’s family and Republicans over a family picture that showed Romney proudly holding his adopted African-American granddaughter — which eventually produced a tearful apology from Melissa Harris-Perry — the network’s official Twitter feed offered up this bon mot about a cereal ad that has nothing to do with politics at all (via Gateway Pundit and Twitchy):

......................

Most people, I think, have come to the conclusion that a citation of racism works in a similar way to Godwin’s Law. It’s the final, and losing, stage of any argument these days, at least those which involve progressives in any way.

Update: Is MSNBC executive editor Richard Wolffe “the most clueless person on the Internet”? John Sexton makes a pretty good argument for it.
Somehow this is just not surprising anymore, it's almost expected.

Ann Coulter — ‘You’re never going to get a scandal against a Democrat broken by MSNBC’

From the Daily Caller:

While on Piers Morgan's show, Ann Coulter explains the difference between Fox News and MS-NBC:
“But look, one of the biggest scandals to really harm a Republican presidential candidate — you weren’t here then — but when George Bush first ran and it came out — it was a matter of days before the election — that he had had a drunk driving arrest, weirdly enough for driving too slowly up in Maine home from a country club one time with his parents in the car,” she continued. “In any event, okay, who broke that story? And it hurt him. They looked at the polls. That story hurt George Bush in the 2000 presidential election. Who broke it? Fox News.”

When pressed on her point by Morgan, Coulter elaborated.

“My point is, you’re never going to get a scandal against a Democrat broken by MSNBC. You are never going to get an articulate conservative on MSNBC,” she said. “They have very articulate liberals making the best case on Fox News. You know what they’re talking about on the other stations. It’s just not a closed set of only liberals. You’re allowed to hear conservatives on Fox.”
Think of which news organization broke the John Edwards scandal, The National Enquirer. Monica Lewinski, The Drudge Report, even though Time Magazine and Michael Issikoff has the story cold.

How long is it going to take Rachel Maddow to admit she’s a liar?

From Christopher Bedford at the Daily Caller:
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow rang in 2014 the same way she spent 2013: Accusing billionaire libertarian Charles Koch of being behind everything she doesn’t like.

.............................

Maddow’s theory is that over the last decade, Koch has donated $40,000 to the State Policy Network, which counts as a member the Florida Foundation for Government Accountability, which at some point supported drug testing for welfare recipients. Therefore, Mr. Koch tried to have welfare recipients drug tested.

By Maddow’s standards, MSNBC co-founder Microsoft is a supporter of drug testing for welfare recipients. Oh, and so is Comcast, because both have also given to the State Policy Network. Yes, that’s the same Comcast that owns Ms. Maddow’s MSNBC through a “shadowy front” known as NBC Universal.

By Maddow’s standards, Washington’s Smithsonian, New York City’s Lincoln Center, Tuft University’s  School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Texas’ Cancer Center and MIT’s Institute for Integrative Cancer Research are shady “Koch-affiliated” institutions.
She's a piece of work, possibly worse than Keith Olbermann.

Just how crazy and racist is Melissa Harris-Perry?

From Fire Andrea Mitchell:
Before Melissa Harris-Perry insulted Mitt Romney, his family, and his black adopted grandson, she was famous for wearing tamoon earings on one of her shows to show ‘solidarity’ with abortion butchers and a women’s right to kill a baby in the womb. But let’s stroll back down memory lane to review just how batshit crazy AND racist Melissa Harris-Perry really is. Remember, she is also half-white.
MSNBC Melissa Harris-Perry equates Obamacare with N-word

NBC nut Melissa Harris-Perry GITMO terrorists are like slaves or something

Melissa Harris-Perry – Boston Bombers are literally Caucasian VIDEO

Crazy Melissa Harris-Perry triples down on her ‘All your children are belong to government’ (Video)

Half white MSNBC hack Melissa Harris-Perry declares Clarence Thomas Doesn’t Represent Blacks (Video)

NBC-MSNBC Melissa Harris-Perry – ‘break through the idea that Kids belong to their parents’ they belong to the ‘community’ (Video)

NBC-MSNBC loony toons Melissa Harris-Perry looses it – has a temper tantrum (Video)

NBC-MSNBC hack Melissa Harris-Perry who is 39 years old claims her grandmother was a lifelong slave, says God is pretty pitiful (Video)

This is just a small sample of how batshit crazy Melissa Harris-Perry, Even more scary than NBC paying her millions of dollars to spew her racism and hate is that she is a professor at Tulane University, corrupting young minds, and she has a young daughter. Now that’s scary.

Exposing liberal apologies, Palin and Romney shouldn’t forgive MSNBC hosts

From Tammy Bruce at the Washington Times:
Why are liberals becoming even more vile in their public discourse? I contend it’s a result, in part, of the fact that they get away with it, and they gain power as conservative leadership retreats from the ugliness. There have never been any serious consequences for liberal hate speech, threats and general cultural assault.

Conservatives, on the other hand, the target of that bile, act on their inherent decency and “forgive and forget.”
................

My concern is the reaction by high-profile conservatives who, after having been smeared in the most repugnant of ways, immediately accept the apologies of the liberals who slander them. This pattern needs to change.

Conservatives must recognize that accepting apologies from liberals who cross the line only reinforces the myth that these attitudes are one-off “mistakes,” uttered by normally decent people.

As a former liberal, I assure you nothing could be further from the truth.
................

Arguing for harm to come to someone because you disagree with them is neither a mistake nor an accident. It’s a contemplated idea, cultivated into a message and delivered as an argument. Targeting a toddler for derision because it serves a political agenda isn’t something that mistakenly pops into someone’s head. It springs from an existing loathsome well.

It would be valuable for today’s conservative leadership to recognize that comments like Mr. Bashir’s and Ms. Harris-Perry’s aren’t mistakes — they are public illustrations of what sits at the core of today’s liberalism — hatred, paranoia and cruelty.
Conservatives have known for along time the hatred and loathing the Left has toward them. As Charles Krauthammer once said, "Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil."

Maddow embarrasses herself with Koch brothers accusation

From Watchdog.org:
Charles and David Koch have donated some $20 million to the American Civil Liberties Union, which just won a court victory overturning a Florida law requiring the drug testing of welfare recipients.

Given the brothers’ libertarian views and support for drug decriminalization, you might expect them to be happy about the ruling, if they had any opinion at all.

But they weren’t involved in this debate, saying plainly and publicly that “we have no involvement in the Florida issue.”

That wasn’t good enough for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who insisted not only that they were involved, but that they were supporting the other side — the side to which they didn’t give any money.
She(??) is the worst type of Media Troll. Only uses information that supports her point of view, DISPITE all the contrary evidence. It's almost as she is acting like Mike Nifong.

Rachel Maddow Is Crazy, Too

From John Hinderaker at Powerline Blog:
MSNBC has had a hard time lately. The network fired Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin for craziness, on-air and off-air respectively. Melissa Harris-Perry was forced to apologize, first on Twitter and then, tearfully, on the air, for making political hay out of Mitt Romney’s adopted grandson. The network put Ed Schulz out to pasture, and most people wrote Chris Matthews off as a hysteric long ago, so that pretty much leaves Rachel Maddow–amazingly enough–as MSNBC’s supposed voice of sanity. Eliana Johnson has reported on Maddow’s status as the “queen” of MSNBC, who wields more control than anyone else over the network’s often-crazed content.

.....

Her central premise, that the Florida welfare statute was an initiative of the Koch brothers, was false, and she knew it. She made the whole thing up to fool the low-IQ viewers who form MSNBC’s base. But the story gets even worse.

But the corruption goes deeper still. Rachel Maddow says that any company that supports the State Policy Network is “affiliated with” the Florida Foundation for Government Accountability, and is responsible for everything FFGA does. That is wrong, but let’s go with it. Who else, besides Koch, has supported the State Policy Network? You might be surprised: the list includes Microsoft, Facebook, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, GlaxoSmithKline, Kraft Foods, and many more. So Maddow randomly singled out Koch as opposed to any of these other companies as the sponsor of the Florida legislation which, as far as we know, Koch wasn’t even aware of. Well, not randomly, because MSNBC is obsessed with Koch, but you get the point.

But wait! A final level of deception remains to be revealed: one of the many companies that have contributed to the State Policy Network is Comcast, which owns MSNBC and is Rachel Maddow’s employer. So in her Thursday broadcast, Maddow could equally well have said that MSNBC “ha[s] been promoting forced drug tests for people on welfare,” and that FFGA is an “MSNBC-affiliated group.” She didn’t do this for obvious reasons. She knew that she was addressing a stupid audience that would never know the difference.

If Rachel Maddow is the best that MSNBC has to offer, MSNBC is in even deeper trouble than its steep ratings decline would indicate.
It's a scary thought that Mad-cow is one of the responsible "journalist" at PMS-NBC.

Tweet of the Day

I was not even going to address this faux outrage of the clowns at PMS-NBC, but Iowahawk strike again:
