Rachel Maddow - Oregonians Should Have to Pass Background Check Aurora Theater Gunman Passed

On May 4, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow made clear how hopeful she is that Oregon Governor Kate Brown (D) will sign Senate Bill 941 into law. SB 941 will make “almost all” Oregonians pass the same background check the Aurora Theater gunman passed to get his weapon.

Maddow said, “Brown has … [a] chance to sign major legislature into law that would make background checks mandatory for almost all private transfers of guns between unrelated owners.” A first violation of the background law would be a misdemeanor, but “a second violation would be a felony with a maximum penalty of a quarter million dollars and ten years in prison.”

Maddow did not mention James Holmes, nor did she mention Jared Loughner–the man who attacked Gabby Giffords with a gun he got via a background check.

She also failed to mention that Jared and Amanda Miller (Las Vegas), Aaron Ybarra (Seattle Pacific University), Elliot Rodger (Santa Barabara), Ivan Lopez (Fort Hood 2014), Darion Marcus Aguilar (Maryland mall), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Paul Ciancia (LAX), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), Nidal Hasan (Fort Hood 2009), Jiverly Wong (Binghamton), Seung-Hui Cho (Virginia Tech), and Naveed Haq (Seattle) all passed background checks for their guns as well.

Why doesn't Mad-Cow (and all those other gun control proponents) even mention all of the mad shooters who DID past the background check?

How long is it going to take Rachel Maddow to admit she’s a liar?

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow rang in 2014 the same way she spent 2013: Accusing billionaire libertarian Charles Koch of being behind everything she doesn’t like.

Maddow’s theory is that over the last decade, Koch has donated $40,000 to the State Policy Network, which counts as a member the Florida Foundation for Government Accountability, which at some point supported drug testing for welfare recipients. Therefore, Mr. Koch tried to have welfare recipients drug tested.

By Maddow’s standards, MSNBC co-founder Microsoft is a supporter of drug testing for welfare recipients. Oh, and so is Comcast, because both have also given to the State Policy Network. Yes, that’s the same Comcast that owns Ms. Maddow’s MSNBC through a “shadowy front” known as NBC Universal.

By Maddow’s standards, Washington’s Smithsonian, New York City’s Lincoln Center, Tuft University’s  School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Texas’ Cancer Center and MIT’s Institute for Integrative Cancer Research are shady “Koch-affiliated” institutions.

She's a piece of work, possibly worse than Keith Olbermann.

Maddow embarrasses herself with Koch brothers accusation

Charles and David Koch have donated some $20 million to the American Civil Liberties Union, which just won a court victory overturning a Florida law requiring the drug testing of welfare recipients.

Given the brothers’ libertarian views and support for drug decriminalization, you might expect them to be happy about the ruling, if they had any opinion at all.

But they weren’t involved in this debate, saying plainly and publicly that “we have no involvement in the Florida issue.”

That wasn’t good enough for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who insisted not only that they were involved, but that they were supporting the other side — the side to which they didn’t give any money.

She(??) is the worst type of Media Troll. Only uses information that supports her point of view, DISPITE all the contrary evidence. It's almost as she is acting like Mike Nifong.

Rachel Maddow Is Crazy, Too

MSNBC has had a hard time lately. The network fired Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin for craziness, on-air and off-air respectively. Melissa Harris-Perry was forced to apologize, first on Twitter and then, tearfully, on the air, for making political hay out of Mitt Romney’s adopted grandson. The network put Ed Schulz out to pasture, and most people wrote Chris Matthews off as a hysteric long ago, so that pretty much leaves Rachel Maddow–amazingly enough–as MSNBC’s supposed voice of sanity. Eliana Johnson has reported on Maddow’s status as the “queen” of MSNBC, who wields more control than anyone else over the network’s often-crazed content.

Her central premise, that the Florida welfare statute was an initiative of the Koch brothers, was false, and she knew it. She made the whole thing up to fool the low-IQ viewers who form MSNBC’s base. But the story gets even worse.

But the corruption goes deeper still. Rachel Maddow says that any company that supports the State Policy Network is “affiliated with” the Florida Foundation for Government Accountability, and is responsible for everything FFGA does. That is wrong, but let’s go with it. Who else, besides Koch, has supported the State Policy Network? You might be surprised: the list includes Microsoft, Facebook, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, GlaxoSmithKline, Kraft Foods, and many more. So Maddow randomly singled out Koch as opposed to any of these other companies as the sponsor of the Florida legislation which, as far as we know, Koch wasn’t even aware of. Well, not randomly, because MSNBC is obsessed with Koch, but you get the point.

But wait! A final level of deception remains to be revealed: one of the many companies that have contributed to the State Policy Network is Comcast, which owns MSNBC and is Rachel Maddow’s employer. So in her Thursday broadcast, Maddow could equally well have said that MSNBC “ha[s] been promoting forced drug tests for people on welfare,” and that FFGA is an “MSNBC-affiliated group.” She didn’t do this for obvious reasons. She knew that she was addressing a stupid audience that would never know the difference.

If Rachel Maddow is the best that MSNBC has to offer, MSNBC is in even deeper trouble than its steep ratings decline would indicate.

It's a scary thought that Mad-cow is one of the responsible "journalist" at PMS-NBC.
