Family Of Paris Victims Stops Paying Taxes Because Money Goes To Terrorists

From The Daily Caller:
The parents of two victims who died in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks wrote a letter to French President Francois Hollande, notifying him they will no longer pay taxes and by extension fund the president’s “jihadist friends.”

The parents are furious with Hollande’s policies, which they claim allowed for the attack to happen. Paying taxes, the parents argue, will contribute to the surviving suspects’ attorneys fees and France’s new jihadist rehabilitation centers.
The French population is finally rebelling to the cheese eating surrender monkey who run that country. And if we are careful, American will be just like France.

Nobel Prize Update

From The New York Times via H/T at Instapundit:
For Obama, an Unexpected Legacy of Two Full Terms at War, Longer Than Any Other President. This is what happens when you wage war half-heartedly, by committee, and on the cheap. ” President Obama came into office seven years ago pledging to end the wars of his predecessor, George W. Bush. On May 6, with eight months left before he vacates the White House, Mr. Obama passed a somber, little-noticed milestone: He has now been at war longer than Mr. Bush, or any other American president.”

Of course, it’s “little noticed” because the press didn’t want people to notice it, because he’s a Democrat.
and because the war lasted longer, UNEXPECTEDLY.

Quotes of the Day

From Ace of Spades HQ:
At this point in his presidency, Obama speaks with only one tone, the slightly exasperated and sometimes not-merely-slightly exasperated "adult in the room" who constantly has to correct his fellow Americans, who are always flying off the handle, calling for options that "aren't who we are", betraying our values, and so on. He's always so disappointed in us.

-- Jim Geraghty in Obama Actually Thought He Was Being Reassuring Tonight
He speaks that way because he's just biding him time until retirement.
Obama repeatedly peddles euphemisms and false assurances. Reality refuses to conform to Obama's prescriptions. Obama is as impervious to experience as the worst men who ever lived. Obama does not trust the American people with the truth in part because he believes the American people cannot be trusted with the truth and in part because the truth is inimical to his projects.

Obama's antipathy to the United States and to the American people render him unfit for the high office he holds.

-- Scott Johnson of PowerLine
We are getting the exact government we elect.
Opponents of gun control are saying, as they do after every killing, that no law can unfailingly forestall a specific criminal. That is true. They are talking, many with sincerity, about the constitutional challenges to effective gun regulation. Those challenges exist. They point out that determined killers obtained weapons illegally in places like France, England and Norway that have strict gun laws. Yes, they did.

But at least those countries are trying. The United States is not.

-- Front page NYT pro-gun control editorial quietly admitting that gun control would be a futile gesture on the country's part
There's a little problem called the Constitution. The same document that protects your right to spread this crap is the same one that protect my right to own a gun.
"Freedom is more powerful than fear." Now let me take your guns away based on a secret list that only I control.

-- Glenn Reynolds on Obama's speech tonight That would have saved 16.5 minutes of the county's life.

Well, Now We Know the President Has Turned a Blind Eye to Domestic Terrorism to Advance His Gun Control Agenda

From Erick Erickson via H/T at Instapundit:
White supremacists who reject Christ can be Christian terrorists, but a Muslim shooting up a place yelling “Allahu Akbar” is just workplace violence or caused by some unknown reason — they had a bad home life like the terrorists in California whose wife was, according to a talking head on CNN, probably suffering post partum depression.

The President and American left have failed and failed and failed some more to deal with this. Meanwhile, we know that intelligence officials have had their intelligence reports of the growing threat of ISIS changed to make the threat seem less sever.

Following this latest terrorist attack in California, the President and the left seem to be in a very coordinated attack on the second amendment. They are not letting the crisis they themselves created go to waste. The New York Times places an editorial on the front page calling for gun control and the President decides to address the nation about the growing terror threat and what our response should be.

We now know from media reports that the President intends to call for gun control. He may even try by executive order.

This was the plan all along. Just like Europe.

Get Americans worried and fearful about terrorism, show that the government is incapable of dealing effectively with it, then declare that the only solution is to round up guns so terrorists cannot get them.

It is all by design. The President never had any intention of working aggressively to stop domestic terrorism. He needed it to fester and call it something else, just as he needs problems with Obamacare to fester to get to single payer, in order to curtail our freedoms.
I don't think the Dear Leader planned (but, possibly hoped) for all the terrorist events during his reign. But he will not let a "crisis go to waste" to fundamentally transform America.

Whose values is Barack Obama promoting in Syria?

From Newsday via H/T at Hotair:
The most serious problem with the Syrian refugees isn't that they'll bring terrorists with them. It's the war in Syria that made them refugees in the first place.

President Barack Obama claims we have to admit refugees if we are to live up to our values. But he's the one who's sat on his hands as Syria burned.

It's banal to say that concerns about terrorism are serious. Of course they're serious. What hasn't been serious is the president's response to those concerns. Obama's argument that refugees from war-torn Syria are no different from "all the tourists who pour into the United States every single day" is folly.
The Dear Leader ALWAYS places the concern of the world BEFORE America and Americans.

What Defeating ISIS Would Look Like

From Kurt Schlichter at IJReview:
Here, at night in the heart of the caliphate, the only sound was the laughing of the ISIS fighters lounging about in the safety of their capital. The screams that had pierced the air when the jihadis had captured the Syrian city of Raqqa on the northern bank of the Euphrates were gone; those infidels who had not been butchered had fled.

But there was a rumble in the sky, but not like from one of the few American jets that would occasionally drop a bomb and then depart. No, this was deeper and more distant. The jihadis stopped talking to listen, puzzled. Then they and their world were torn apart.

The first wave of 12 B-52H’s emptied their bays of 750-pound dumb bombs directly over the heart of Raqqa, followed by a second wave, then a third. Crack Air Force ground crews were waiting back at the base in Saudi Arabia, and rearmament took less than two hours. Then they headed north again. In 24 hours, Raqqa ceased to exist.
This article game me goosebumps!

Quote of the Day IV

From Neo-Neocon's Blog via H/T at Ace of Spades HQ:
The generals who won World War II would start by leveling Raqqa, the ISIS caliphate's capital. Civilians would die, but those remaining in Raqqa have embraced ISIS, as Germans did Hitler. The jihadis must be crushed. Start with their "Berlin."

Kill ten thousand, save a million.

Unthinkable? Fine. We lose.

-- Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (US Army, Ret.)
He's right!

Quote of the Day II - Restraint Edition

From Don Surber's Blog via H/T at Ace of Spades HQ:
French police on Wednesday in their raid of an apartment in north Paris fired no less than 5,000 bullets, leading many in Israel to question the double standard of the West demanding Israel show 'restraint' in the face of terror. Reportedly 110 officers took part in the raid on an apartment in the suburb of St. Denis, where the Islamic State (ISIS) mastermind of Saturday's lethal attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was believed to be hiding out.
So basically, every officer empties 2 full 30rd magazines in the raid.

Where is the trigger discipline?

Obama On His ISIS Strategy -- I’m Not Interested In ‘American Leadership, Or America Winning’

From The Federalist:
During a press conference detailing his administration’s strategy to destroy ISIS following several devastating terrorist attacks in Paris, President Barack Obama said he’s not interested in “pursuing some notion of American leadership or America winning[.]”

Obama’s remarks came several days after ISIS attacks in Paris that killed over 120 people and injured scores of others. Friday night’s attacks on France are believed to be the deadliest terrorist attacks in the country’s history.
Wow, he's just not interested in America winning. Stunning!

Barack Obama -- The Man Who Broke The Middle East.

From Instapundit:
POLITICO: Barack Obama: The Man Who Broke The Middle East.
The Middle East that Obama inherited in 2009 was largely at peace, for the surge in Iraq had beaten down the al Qaeda-linked groups. U.S. relations with traditional allies in the Gulf, Jordan, Israel and Egypt were very good. Iran was contained, its Revolutionary Guard forces at home. Today, terrorism has metastasized in Syria and Iraq, Jordan is at risk, the humanitarian toll is staggering, terrorist groups are growing fast and relations with U.S. allies are strained.
How did it happen? Begin with hubris: The new president told the world, in his Cairo speech in June 2009, that he had special expertise in understanding the entire world of Islam—knowledge “rooted in my own experience” because “I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed.” But President Obama wasn’t speaking that day in an imaginary location called “the world of Islam;” he was in Cairo, in the Arab Middle East, in a place where nothing counted more than power.
Hey, he’s a better speechwriter than his speechwriters, a better policy analyst than his policy analysts, and a better Muslim than the Muslims. It’s not his failure. It’s the world of Islam that let him down. Poor Barack. The world just isn’t up to his standards.
And he will be remembered with more disdain than Neville Chamberlain, Richard Nixon, and Jimmy Carter combined.

Hapless Team Obama Caught Off Guard on Iraq Collapse -- “It makes you want to kill yourself”

From Jammie Wearing Fool via Ace of Spades HQ:
So how are things going with Mr. Nobel Peace Prize these days?
At a closed-door gathering of Gulf states in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in May, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and his Arab counterparts all signaled agreement on one thing for the first time: Islamist forces seizing territory in Syria and Iraq had become a regionwide menace that can’t be ignored.
What they didn’t agree on was what to do about it, U.S. officials said. The fall this week of the Iraqi cities Mosul and Tikrit to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham rebel group shows how the insurgent threat is outpacing the response and posing a challenge to President Barack Obama‘s approach of limiting U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts.
The quickly unfolding drama prompted a White House meeting Wednesday of top policy makers and military leaders who were caught off guard by the swift collapse of Iraqi security forces, officials acknowledged.
State Department and Pentagon officials have long warned about ISIS’s desire to create an Islamic state based in the Sunni-dominated parts of Iraq and Syria
Now, current and former officials say Washington’s options for helping the Iraqi army fight back are limited—both because the threat in Iraq is so entrenched and because the U.S. hasn’t invested in building up moderate allies on the Syrian side of the border.
Let’s face it: Obama is more interested in the ongoing collapse of our Southern border and making sure as many illegals as possible flood into Texas and Arizona. Face it, where else are they going to get future Democrat voters?
The Dear Leader must be saying during the meeting, assuming he's even attending them, " but my world view this isn't supposed to happen. Why is it happening, Don't those idiots realize, I have a Nobel Peace Prize?"

White House worried as militants take Iraqi cities

From Instapundit:
Obama didn't lose Iraq, he gave it away.
The White House on Wednesday expressed concerns that Islamic militants had regained a foothold in Iraq after an al Qaeda-affiliated group seized control of a second major city.

Islamist militants seized the northern city of Tikrit on Wednesday, an action that sparked alarm in Washington and Baghdad, just days after rebel forces also captured Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city.

“The situation in Iraq is grave,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest conceded to reporters traveling with the president Wednesday to Massachusetts.

“There is no doubt that the situation has deteriorated over the last 24 hours,” he added
Obama gave up on the status of forces negotiations because he was in a hurry to skedaddle. Now there’s a good chance that Iraq — which was stable and doing comparatively well in 2008 — will be taken over by Islamists. Then, of course, there are the debacles in Syria, Libya, and Afghanistan. . . .
Worse than Carter for sure. Will he go down in history as a bigger fool than Neville Chamberlain? Will the left curse his name in the future when more soldiers die to re-fight the war already won, but he conceded to the islamist?
