Connecting the dots in the San Bernardino bloodshed

It may be some time before the full story is known. But the dots are already beginning to form a picture, one some folks — including at the White House — might prefer not to admit.

Indeed, the San Bernardino carnage already serves as a chilling reminder of the homegrown terror threat this country continues to face.

And until we come to grips with that fact, we’ll never be able to defeat it.

These dots represent a serious problem for the Regime. They can't maintain their narrative that ISIS is under control.

The reality is that San Bernardino was the first ISIS sponsored terrorist attack on US soil.

So much for that "JV team".

The Left’s Cynical Gun-Control Reflex

Before we knew a single thing about the perpetrators of the abomination in San Bernardino, solutions were being thrown across the Internet with abandon. The answers to this latest problem were obvious: Americans just needed to “stand up to the NRA”; to agree to “common sense” firearms legislation; and to implement the trio of gun-control “reforms” that President Obama so dearly covets. Those who offered prayers in lieu of knee-jerk calls for authority were deemed to be callous or cynical or dumb. Never mind that none of the details were known. Never mind that we had no motive, no weapon, no suspects. Never mind that, California being what it is, it was eminently possible that all of the proposals under discussion were already in the law. This was a golden propaganda opportunity, not to be passed up.

When, a few short hours later, it became clear that this one was a little different from the usual trenchcoat-and-schizophrenia disgrace, circumspection should have set in. Alas, it did not. As the events unfolded, we learned, among other things, that there was more than one shooter, which tends to suggest terrorism; that those involved were devout Muslims, one of whom had recently been on a pilgrimage to Mecca; that there was a suspected link to ISIS propaganda; that the onslaught involved home-made, remote-controlled explosives, potentially put together in a house described as an “IED factory”; that the guns used in the attack were purchased legally, with a background check; and that because California has strict rules governing firearms, both the buyer and seller were subject to the very restrictions the president claims to covet. Oddly, none of these details mattered one whit.

Sorry Bloomberg et al, California has ALL the "common sense legislation" you want nationally and guess what, those laws did not stop the terrorists.

The Dog That Won't Quit Barking

The evidence continues to accumulate that the Bonnie and Clyde massacre in San Bernardino yesterday was a case of jihad. We’ve got the home armory. We’ve got the pilgrimage to Mecca. We’ve got the contact with foreign terrorist subjects. Sherlock Holmes solved the case in the story “Silver Blaze” with the clue of the dog that didn’t bark. The San Bernardino dog won’t shut up.

President Obama was talking about gun control before the bodies had turned cold. He now prefers to avoid the obvious for as long as possible, holding out hope that he can resort to the laughable “workplace violence” dodge that he has found useful in the past

This particular case of jihad comes at an inconvenient time for Obama politically, with his lectures regarding the claims of Syrian refugees sitting in the background and the new wave yet to land on our shores. It makes the critics he has obnoxiously disparaged as heartless ingrates seem like prudent guardians of our fellow citizens. Obama has an entirely different agenda and it doesn’t take an observer with the deductive powers of Sherlock Holmes to figure it out either.

“If you actually believe that global warming is the biggest problem we face with terror all around the world, an $18 trillion dollar debt — nine of which is yours — no real allies left that trust us, riots in the streets, riots in our university campuses, race relations worse than I’ve seen since the 1960s, and a distrust of our fellow Americans unlike anything I have ever seen, you, sir, are either delusional or you’re the dumbest son of a bitch on the planet. Which is it?”

“Because it is about Islam. So was Boston. So was Benghazi. So was Fort Hood. So was a half dozen others that you failed to address, and quite frankly, sir, so was Ahmed the Clock Kid. It was a timer and not a clock.”

San Bernardino Jihadi a ‘Constant Presence’ at Mosque, Recently Memorized Koran

Two brothers who attended the same Southern California mosque as a gunman who killed 14 people say he was a devout Muslim who showed up to pray every day before he abruptly stopped three weeks ago.

Nizaam Ali and Rahemaan Ali said Thursday that Syed Rizwan Farook had been a constant presence at the mosque for two years and had recently memorized the Quran.

As if this is really a surprise.

Expanded Background Checks Failed to Stop California Jihad

When Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik carried out their California jihad on December 2, they did so in a state with expanded background checks, registration requirements for “assault weapons,” and an “A-” grade from the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

None of these things prevented the attack from occurring. Gun Violence.

California has expanded background checks, which means they require a background check on every sale–retail or private. These are the very checks that President Obama, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Democrat surrogates like Gabby Giffords, Mark Kelly, Shannon Watts, and others are pushing at the federal level on the false premise of keeping Americans safe. They are the same checks that Colorado enacted after the heinous December 2012 attack on Sandy Hook Elementary, under the illusion that such checks would prevent a high profile public attack.

All of the laws that the gun control proponents want to pass nationally are in effect in California, yet we still have mass shootings.

How can that be? Ask and gun control proponent to explain why the laws they want DIDN'T work in California?

President Obama On California Attack ‘We Don’t Know Why They Did It’ – Could Be ‘Workplace Violence’

President Barack Obama says that it’s possible yesterday’s attack in California, where two people killed 14 and injured 17 others, was terrorist related. But he’s also holding out the possibility it was workplace violence.

“It is possible that this is terrorist-related, but we don’t know; it is also possible this was workplace-related,” Obama said, adding, “we don’t know why they did it.”

Idiot!

Considering that he still believes that Major Nidal Hasan (Fort Hood) was a case of workplace violence and not Islamic terrorism, it's not surprising.

The Muslim man who massacred 14 California health workers at a holiday party was radicalized and communicating with suspected terrorists before the killing spree, CNN reported.

Syed Farook, 28, spoke by phone and via social media with the suspected terrorists -- including some with people in foreign countries, according to the CNN report.

But sources told the network it was unclear if Farook -- who traveled to Saudi Arabia for several weeks in 2013 and Pakistan a year later -- was directly motivated to attack by his contact with the radicals.

More Details: This Daily Mail article has a lot of details I didn't know, such as: The terrorists tossed out pipe bombs at the cops during the pursuit, Tsarnaev-style.

It seems the Media is the only ones who are surprised the mass shooters were muslims.

Confirmed -- Second Paris Gunman Entered Europe Via Greece, Posing as a Refugee.

A second Paris gunman has been confirmed as having entered Europe via Greece by posing as a refugee. Following reports on Saturday morning that one of the gunmen was found with a Syrian passport, Greek authorities quickly confirmed that he had entered via the island of Leros. A second terrorist is now reported to have used the same route.

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

So will the Dear Leader change his plans about accepting 65,000 Syrian refugees?

Fatalities Reported in Shootout, Explosions in Paris

Reports are coming in from Paris on Friday afternoon of a shootout at a restaurant, and an explosion in a bar near the Stade de France stadium, where a soccer game between France and Germany was in progress. Multiple fatalities have been reported at the restaurant.

Looks like there was a coordinated attack at 6 locations in Paris.

I'm betting it's the work of Jihadists.

The 24-year-old Kuwaiti immigrant who killed four Marines and wounded several others yesterday at two military recruitment centers in Chattanooga appears to have been amply provided for. “For more than a decade, Mr. Abdulazeez, his parents and his sisters had made their home in a subdivision called Colonial Shores, just across the Tennessee River from Chattanooga,” writes the New York Times today. “It is a movie-set vision of American suburbia, almost surreally well-tended, with handsome middle-class homes of a late-1970s vintage.” And Abdulazeez himself? As a kid he hung around with the other kids in the neighborhood, he wrestled in high school, he was friendly to his neighbors. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a degree in engineering. “He seemed to have been an all-American boy, handsome and polite, normally in a T-shirt and jeans.”
