Two full days after calling attempted mass-cop killer “courageous and brave,” CNN weekend anchor Fredricka Whitfield finally came out and apologized Monday afternoon.Well, CNN should fire her. The stuff she is spouting about sounds as if it's coming from PMS-NBC.
I misused those words terribly. And I sincerely apologize for making this statement, and I understand now how offensive it was, and I want to reiterate that in no way do I believe the gunman was courageous or brave. I sincerely apologize. On Saturday, while the stand-off between Boulware and the police was ongoing, Whitfield described the would-be mass murderer as “courageous and brave.” Sunday, Whifield popped up on the air only to say she “misspoke.” There was no apology, and organizations like the Dallas Police Association took notice. In a statement released Monday, the DPA wrote in part that Whitfield’s “flippant, non-apology served as further insult.”
Whitfield’s claim that a man armed to the teeth, and burning with the intent to murder as many law enforcement officers as possible, is “courageous and brave” is, unfortunately, completely in keeping with CNN’s relentless hate campaigns against America’s law enforcement community.

Dallas Police Association to CNN - Your ‘Flippant Non-Apology’ Is Not Accepted
From Breitbart's Big Journalism:
She needs to be mocked into retirement.
After attempting to float a Narrative trial balloon Saturday that would frame the discussion around Saturday’s would be mass-cop killer in Dallas as someone who is “courageous and brave,” CNN weekend anchor Fredricka Whitfield arrogantly refused to apologize Sunday, and said merely that she had misspoke.Dallas PD Association, nice reply to this fool.
Whitfield’s arrogance did not go unnoticed by the Dallas Police Association. The DPA released a statement Monday calling Whitfield’s Sunday statement a “flippant non-apology”:
“Yesterday CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield called James Boulware ‘courageous and brave’ just hours after he attacked our police headquarters with the intent to kill as many police officers as he could,” said Frederick Frazier, Vice President of the Dallas Police Association. “While her comments were appalling and offensive to the men and women in police departments across our country, her flippant non-apology served as further insult. We call on CNN to offer a more appropriate apology for the offensive comments made by Ms. Whitfield.”
“We have voiced our concern that the media’s negative narrative about police officers is jeopardizing our safety. The actions of CNN are proof that our concern has merit,” added Frazier.

CNN’s Whitfield - Attacking Dallas Police HQ ‘Very Courageous and Brave’
From Breitbart TV:
CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield called the attack on Dallas Police Headquarters “very courageous and brave” on Saturday’s “CNN Newsroom.”I wounder if she would fell the same, if a similarly armed nut job did the same to the CNN building in Atlanta, where she works? And their guards can't shoot back, since they're probably not armed.
Whitfield, while discussing the shooting with legal analyst Philip Holloway, said, “It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters, and now you have this scene, this standoff. So you believe these are the hallmarks of more than one person’s involvement?”
Holloway’s smile visibly drooped when Whitfield praised the would-be cop killer.
