‘Smart Gun’ Technology Still Lacks Momentum

From Breitbart California:
Despite President Obama’s calls for more “smart gun” research, development, and use, “smart gun” technology still lacks momentum.

In fact, as the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show opens in Las Vegas, not one of the 1,600 exhibitors plan to showcase “smart gun” technology.

According to CNet, there was similar story at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) last week. “The sole smart-gun exhibitor at this year’s CES” was Sentinl, and the product they promoted was “Identilock“—a smart trigger lock that is opened and removed via a biometric reader instead of a traditional lock and key.
Yet another inferior product the Government is trying to force on the public for mass consumption, like biofuels, solar panels, windmills, and other green power sources.

The market has very clearly shown there is no interest in this product.

"Smart" Guns, Dumb Laws, and Racism

From Bob Owens at Bearing Arms:
If technology companies can’t tech that is 100% reliable, how are gun companies supposed to do it?

In just four minutes, TWANGnBANG destroys the arguments of citizen control cultists that want to impose “smart” gun technology on the citizenry.

At the 2:53 mark, "Yes, the geniuses that came up with this idea and the politicians trying to push it, don't know the first about using tape."

Also, it this technology is so good and so reliable, why are the Police specifically exempt, by law in California and New Jersey? Rep. John Tierney (D-Mass.) believes this technology is so good, since he saw it in the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall; he has proposed legislation that guns made in the United States would have to be built with this technology two years after the bill becomes law. Older guns being sold by a business or individual would have to be retrofitted with this technology after three years.
