Volunteer firefighters can skip Obamacare requirements

A few weeks ago, it looked like volunteer firefighter organizations, that make up 80% of all firefighters in the country, would be forced to purchase health insurance for their members thanks to Obamacare regulations.

Yesterday, without any fanfare, the Treasury Department let it be known that final regulations to be issued in the next few days will exempt volunteer firefighters from Obamacare mandates.

Another day, another exemption due to the stupidity of those who wrote and are implementing the law. I am not blaming the firefighters or their organizations. They never should have been threatened with disaster in the first place. The reason they were is because the "unforeseen consequences" of Obamacare keep piling up, making it perfectly clear that little thought was given to how the law would impact Americans.

I disagree with that final thought. There was no consideration given regarding the affect to all Americans. Obamacare was not about insuring all those who lack health care insurance. It was a blatant power grab to control 1/7th of the US economy. Because those who control government spending wield great power and influence.
