Limbaugh -- Don't Let Democrats Delay Obamacare

I thought the same thing, but that was sort of emotive -- when I'm not in angry fulminating mode, I don't see how we can agitate to "maintain the pain" that real citizens are experiencing under Obama's law.

I know that actually makes sense -- but try explaining it to someone who just got hit with a $9000 per year tax increase.

We can't be seen as trying to stick it to people. That's what's killing Obama now, that he's doing just that. If we join him, or trade places with him (him seeking a delay, us demanding on Maximum Compliance), we'll be savaged.

And no, it won't matter that we're actually doing this to get rid of the damned thing.

Here is my alternative suggestion:

Permit a delay, but with two important caveats:

1. The entire law must be functioning and in place by August 1, 2014 -- three months before the election -- or else it lapses immediately. It just sunsets. It's done.

This includes the employer mandate, which has been delayed until after the elections. The whole shebang must be in place and operational as of August 1, 2014, or bye-bye to it all. No more suspensions, no more delays. If the law isn't in operation in full by its own terms it self-repeals on August 1, 2014.

2. The law is also amended to include a sunset provision, which makes it expire August 2016. If the law is as popular as Obama claims it will be, Democrats should have no problems whatsoever whipping up support for re-authorization three months before the 2016 presidential elections. Right?

Now watch, the same Democrats who were against delaying Obamacare during the Government Shutdown will be for a delay now, since it's roll out has been a "trainwreck".

It's the duty of every Republican to remind the people and the Drive-By Media that Obamacare was passed with NO republican votes and those same Dims were AGAINST a delay, just a few weeks ago. Make them live by their own rules, so says Alinsky.
