Lois Lerner’s price for testimony -- Immunity

Lois Lerner, Director of the IRS Exempt Organizations division, opened her recent testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee with the following statement:

“I have not done anything wrong. I have not broken any laws. I have not violated any IRS rules or regulations, and I have not provided false information to this or any other congressional committee.”

She now want immunity before she will testify before the Committee again.

Well, if she hasn't broken any laws, rules, regulations, or provided false information, why does she need immunity?
