The Secret Service director told a congressional committee Tuesday dozens of agents will be disciplined after they released embarrassing details about Rep. Jason Chaffetz ‘s job application to the agency. It's refreshing to see someone in the Regime, who's willing to not tolerate corruption. It may the first time someone is disciplined during the Dear Leader's Regime.
Director Joseph P. Clancy called the actions of the agents “inexcusable and unacceptable” during testimony before the joint oversight hearing of House and Senate Homeland Security committees, The Associated Press reports.
.....................
Clancy told the committee that of the 45 agents said to be involved in the smear campaign against Chaffetz, 42 of them would be disciplined for their actions.
According to Clancy, each of the agents will receive three to 12 day suspensions, and some could possibly be fired, Yahoo News reports.
.....................
According to the DHS report, Assistant Director Edward Lowery appeared to be the ring leader of the smear campaign. In an email to a colleague, Lowery said, “some information that he might find embarrassing needs to get out, just to be fair.”

Heads Start To Roll After Secret Service Leak Of Embarrassing Chaffetz Info
From The Daily Caller:

Investigation -- Secret Service tried to discredit US lawmaker.
From the AP via H/T at Instapundit:
I agree with the firing and prosecuting. But I don't know about abolishing it. I think all middle to upper management needs to be removed and some apolitical retired veterans needs to be unretired and brought back in to restore the Agency.Scores of U.S. Secret Service employees improperly accessed the decade-old, unsuccessful job application of a congressman who was investigating scandals inside the agency, a new government report said Wednesday. An assistant director suggested leaking embarrassing information to retaliate against Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, chairman of the House oversight committee. The actions by the employees could represent criminal violations under the U.S. Privacy Act, said the report by the Homeland Security Department’s inspector general, John Roth.Fire and prosecute them all. Then abolish the Secret Service, an organization that has proven itself to be corrupt, inept, and dishonest on numerous occasions over many years.
